II. Morning Volunteer Schedule & Garden Tips
Mondays & Wednesdays at 7:00 AM
· Aug 4 (Mon) – First tilling pass; irrigation continues to loosen soil; begin weeding vertical beds.
· Garden Tip: Moist (not muddy) soil tills better—pre‑water 2–3 hours before tilling to reduce clods.
· Aug 6 (Wed) – Second tilling to dry out weeds; spray herbicide for regrowth; weed vertical area.
· Garden Tip: Wait until weeds are dry for best herbicide uptake and effectiveness.
